Anyone fans of animal crossing? I'm a big fan and have been playing it since it came out on the GC. I love playing mindless games.I own the GC and Wii games. I played the DS one on my friend's DS.

Out of those three the Wii one is my favorite despite the city being a big flop. The custom character options is what sold the game for me. Plus the controls are pretty good. Minor complaint is that the villagers have to ask you do to stuff for them unlike in the GC where you could ask them.

Also recently the 3DS game came out! Does anyone have it yet? What is it like? Is being the mayor a neat feature?

I just bought New Leaf but I do not have my 3DS on me...so I haven't played yet. I look forward to it though. I played back during the Game Cube days....good. times. Especially in the summer <3

Awesome! Please tell me if it's any good! I'm very curious before I go buy it. I wasn't crazy about the DS version so I'm hoping the 3DS one is better.

Omg, I feel exactly the same! I will let you know though. It's reviewed really well though and people are crazy about it. And from screenshots I've seen, it definitely looks like it'll be enjoyable. I can't wait to play!

i used to play on my friend's ds a while ago, and i'm looking into getting a 3DS XL for my birthday, so i'm definitely gonna check it out. it seems like it's getting a lot of positive reviews, and from things i've seen on tumblr and heard from my friends, it sounds worth trying.

I wanted the XL, but I got my 3DS on a Black Friday sale last year which came with a digital copy of Mario 3DS. I couldn't pass up that opportunity! 

I talked to my friend last night and she said the New Leaf game is great! She said it's her favorite entry so far. ^^

I'm waiting until I have money to get my Pikachu 3DS XL >.> it's worth it to me. XD I have a purple 3DS, it's just home. I'll have access to it soon so I can playyyyy.

When I was Germany I saw an ad for New Leaf and it had 3DS animal crossing edition. It looked so cute! I don't know if that's an offer here in America.

It was offered in America. And we all missed that train. We called Toys R Uses/Game Stops. They are all out and they don't plan on getting anymore. If you want it, ebay or Amazooooon.

AH I see! I probably won't bother because online people will strike up the price like they did with the Zelda 3DS.

...but it can be worth it D: like the Pikachu one.

haha, yeah. i'm gonna get the animal crossing one because my personality type is one where once i get my mind fixed on something i can't let it go, unfortunately. but my b-day is coming up sooooo. i will  fork up my life-savings on this beautiful console..... plus it comes with animal crossing pre-installed

I went and bought the game today! I couldn't wait! I read up on things and it just sounded sooo good!

I'm loving it so far! I jump a day head so I could get things rolling. I kind of wish Animal Crossing days didn't match ours. I hate jumpy too far into the future, but I didn't want to wait a day seeing how you have to wait for you house to be built.

I am playing right now and I love it too I have a villager rabbit that's supposedly a possible reference to Sailor V <3 I need to become a good friend with her.

I've only paid off my first debt so far; working on the second. However, my roof is now purple, I have a fancy fence, andddd my house is like a soft pink color with "garden trimming" ^^

Today I paid off my house debt and I have my first bridge project going!

I really hope I can unlock the hair cut place soon. I hate my hair style. T-T

I hate mine, too T.T I'm currently paying off two debts. One for making my house bigger and one for the construction of a bridge.

So I looked up that the remaining 3 files will be players who are residents. Only the first player will be mayor.

just got my game and DS today!! idk if it's just me, but when they talk, it sounds like japanese super sped up! that's plausible too coz it's a japanese game. does anyone else think it sounds like sped up japanese?

Someone told me it is speed up talking. I don't know if it's that true.

so just sped up english? at times it sounds english to me, but other times it sounds japanese. idk lol.

It varies for me; sounds like a mix of sped up Japanese and English. I wouldn't be surprised, lol. I think the official name is "Babbelese" if I remember correctly. I may be wrong though

It's probably a mix. I hear English in there from time to time.

I got the garden shop today! Woot!

LUCKY. But I haven't played in a day because I was playing Sims 3 Island Paradise.... I'll check it soon to see if it opened ^^

I time skip with my game though. It's currently Sunday right now. XD
